About the Cybersecurity Certificate 

 

Cybersecurity issues are pervasive throughout all aspects of life in modern times. The issues are complex and have far ranging consequences.

Western’s Cybersecurity Certificate offered through the Department of Computer Science provides a means for students from all disciplines to become knowledgeable about the challenges and potential solutions to cybersecurity problems and to apply cybersecurity principles across all aspects of an organization.

 

In addition there are many non-technical career paths available in this field, including, but not limited to:

  • Cybersecurity Risk Manager

  • Cybersecurity Requirements Planner/Analyst

  • Cybersecurity Test Manager

  • Cybersecurity Knowledge Manager

  • Cybersecurity Trainer/Training Manager

  • Cybersecurity Strategic Planner

  • Cybersecurity Program/Project Management

  • Executive Cyber Leadership

 

This program is open to all Peninsula students not enrolled in a program in the Computer Science department (CSCI, CISS)
